Easiest with a free header/footer plugin.
§ 01Install and activate the free WPCode plugin (or “Insert Headers and Footers”).
§ 02Open Code Snippets → Header & Footer (WPCode), or Settings → Insert Headers and Footers.
§ 03Paste your snippet into the Footer (body) box.
§ 04Click Save and reload your site — the chat bubble appears.
On WordPress.com you need a Business plan to add custom code. Self-hosted WordPress works on any plan.
TROUBLESHOOTING

Quick fixes.

Most installs just work. If yours doesn’t, it’s usually one of these three.

Check the widget is enabled in your dashboard, the snippet sits before </body>, and you’ve hard-refreshed (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+R). Open the browser console (F12) to spot any blocked script.
Your bot needs knowledge. Make sure the site has been crawled and the brain status is ready. Add documents in the Knowledge tab for deeper answers.
Make sure the snippet is pasted once — a duplicate (e.g. via both a plugin and the theme) loads two bubbles. The widget is style-isolated, so site CSS won’t break it; a hard refresh clears a stale cached copy.
